Additional Information

“Underwater, Where Thoughts Can Breathe Easily” – Alanah Jarvis – Let this underwater painting take you away to somewhere warm and safe in another world.
There is growing scientific evidence which states that being in, near, on, or under water can place our brains in a mild sedative state and the reason why we are compelled to stare out at large bodies of water. It’s no wonder special life events such as holidays and weddings are planned around water.
This artwork is a subtle combination between abstract and illustration showcasing light refracting and dancing on the floor of shallow water and also on the bottom side of the surface.
It would be ideal to add length to a space with the long vertical lines as ripples in the sand, but also draws the viewer to look off into the distance of the deep. Look at this artwork in different angles and keep getting a different perspective as if you’re swimming in the water yourself!
This artwork is completed on 365gsm premium canvas and is framed in handmade Tasmanian Oak. The sides of the canvas have been painted to ensure no white canvas is exposed.
