Additional Information

True Blue by Kit McNeill was painted during our horrendous bushfires December/January 2020 and when the fires were raging through my beloved Blue Mountains where I go to paint most years.I have painted many Blue Mountain paintings, with this one I wanted to encompass as much of this spectacular Vista as I could. The waterfall on the left is Govett’s Leap a very popular tourist spot.As with all my other Blue Mountain paintings it is my wish to draw the viewer into the painting and to literally fall into it.Just as I was finishing this painting there was a special benefit put on to raise funds for the Bush Fire Appeal and John Williamson sang “True Blue” well what else could I call this magnificent painting. You can just make out a little Koala sitting on a ledge right hand side. This painting is looking for a very special home❤️

This painting is on Belgium linen professionally stretched and ready to hang.

It is painted in Artist Quality Windsor and Newton Oils. A very specific Limited palette is used. A palette knife is used for the rocks on the escarpments.
