Boat journeys in Australia, Tinnie Traveller on the road across the Nullabour is an original oil painting. The painting is a depiction of road trips across Australia. This particular journey was on the Nullabour treeless plain, towing a dinghy for an adventure across Australia on outback waterways. I liked the contrast of the boat on land. The painting is free with a bold style using oil on canvas with pallet knife. A load of texture and paint bring helps portray this big road trip.
A lot of my inspiration is derived from taking a boat ride, I take my camera and make the most of the water and scenic elements of a voyage on water. Hence, our small vessels are a necessary mode of transport for accessing remote locations and river sojourns. Often the journey is three fold, both the discovery of somewhere new, a bit of a fishing excuse and finding treasures to paint.
