Throwing Caution To The Wind by Bronwyn Barton
This artwork is botanically inspired with large flamboyant shapes. Its full of movement as though the shapes are being blown in the wind. My paintings are started with an energetic layering of colour with the focus on mark making and brushstrokes that depict movement. The constant layering and varying of shapes creates complex colour mixes and depth within the piece.
As often happens I changed the direction the canvas was hanging and ‘threw caution to the wind’ as I made some bold moves and decided not to play safe.
This piece signifies that bold courage we all need at times in our lives.
Framed in a custom warm blonde hardwood float frame this is a piece that would suit any room in your home or apartment where you would like to make a statement.
