My shoreline Series is my attempt to impart the beauty and strength of the ocean as it breaks along the shore. The power of the waves is awe inspiring, the colours simply stunning.

Yet there is something soothing about the sound of ocean waves, the smell of salt water, and sand beneath your toes; walking along the shoreline and watching the ebb and flow of the ocean waves is like a form of meditation.

‘The Wave Study’ is a small study for a larger painting and the aim is to try and capture the movement and strength of waves as they brake on the shoreline.

A pleasing combination of blue, teal and white has been used to create the result.
