Additional Information

This artwork is influenced by my recent visit to Sri Lanka. I felt very overwhelmed by the overcrowded cities, people are turned into things who have to consume endlessly. Although there were many Buddhist temples the mindfulness and material detachment of the Buddhist philosophy I was looking for was hard to find. We are becoming a collective, changed by the system we often don’t want. This painting is about a feeling that human beings becoming part of a collective that is solitary although together.
