The Still of the Night by Ronelle Reid –

In this work, Gould’s long-eared bat navigates his world by echolocation and a red-lined looper moth navigates using the moon as a guide. Both of these creatures are highly impacted by our noisy and bright human lives. It is very difficult for the bat to hear the rustling of a grasshopper in the grass when cars rush by. Likewise, porch lights left on night and day look just like mini-moons to the moth.

We may think that the night is still, quiet and dark but is it?

This gorgeous little watercolour pencil drawing is varnished and framed in a simple grey wood frame and ready to hang on your wall. Paper mounted to a wooden panel, sealed and varnished
