Additional Information

The Escape Plan by Natasha Zraikat. This self-portrait is a two-time finalist in both the Lethbridge 20000 Small Scale Art Award 2019 and the Dean Cogle Portrait Prize 2019. It is a part of Natasha’s latest body of work, entitled ‘The Human Horizon’.

As an artist, Natasha is deeply intrigued by the philosophical and the metaphysical, so while her work is generally realistic, and in some cases, narrative, it is also symbolic. As an environmentalist, Natasha feels a deep emotional connection the landscape around her. In her latest series, she asks the question – Where do we end, and where does our environment begin?
