The Dunes by Lucinda Leveille is a piece that came about from a walk in winter on a cold, windy but sunny day on the shoreline, there were very few people walking that day and no wonder . I can just taste the salt in the breeze and feel the sting on my skin from the cold. Walking quickly to get back into warmth and a hot toddy to wrap my hands around. The piece is quite large for a watercolour 100 x 70 cms on a very textured heavyweight paper which makes for some interesting marks.
If you love this piece but it doesn’t quite suit your space, I would be delighted to work with you to produce an artwork that will work for you and your home, I enjoy commissions and it’s always great to know that this is something uniquely yours.
As with all of my works, this is an original and a one of a kind, I do not make prints from any of my works.
The paintings are signed on the front with my name ‘Lucinda’ and come with a Certificate of Authenticity. I only use Artist quality materials in the creation of my artwork – archival, quality paper for my watercolours, well prepared supports for my oil paintings and both are painted using artist pigments.
The artworks on gallery style stretched canvas, do not require framing and are ready to hang, however, a box frame on this style of canvas can dress the painting really well.
Most of the watercolours are unframed, most courier companies do not cover glass breakage and this can ruin an artwork, so the larger pieces are often safer left unframed for travel.
The piece will arrive cocooned in bubble wrap and packed within a sturdy cardboard container, sometimes recycled ( I like to recycle), any glass will be taped to help prevent breakage, it may not be the prettiest on the outside but the contents will arrive safe and sound.
