Additional Information

Tempest – In this work Chloe is continuing her exploration of fluid impressionism. This artwork depicts a sunset after a summer storm.

From the Artist:

This is the very first artwork created after my neurosurgery in Jan 2020. It is a celebration of life and the way that great hardships change the way you experience the world. After my surgery I was enthralled with the simple things in life, and stunned by their beauty. On a deeper level this artwork was me acknowledging the darkness that I had been through and welcoming the light times.

About the Artist

Chloe Wigg creates intuitive abstract paintings with fluid acrylic, resin and other mixed media, along with the vibrant colours of her imagination. The complexity of the paint interactions and it movements are enthralling. Chloe’s work is best described as fluid lineal impressionism.

During a time of pain, injury and disability, Chloe was medically retired from her role as a paramedic. While she was in hospital, she was introduced to art therapy. Those precious classes that started as a rehab activity, fast became Chloe’s passion, her expression and her vocation.

Through her work, Chloe hopes to inspire and motivate others experiencing hardship by being an example of life after pain.

On the surface, Chloe’s art works are abstract landscapes depicting land and sea. Look deeper and you will see her work is a celebration of the places, people and experiences still to be had after devastation.

Chloes works are held in private collections across Australia as well as exhibited regularly.
