I love all flowers, especially wildflowers and Proteas are at the top of the list!
In this painting I have painted the Proteas in watercolour, then painted a black background in behind, then made extra adjustments with gouache. This has made the Proteas pop and really brings out the sunlit bits as well as the simple glass jar on the wooden floor! Sunlight is a sign of life, joy and happiness! I’m really happy with the dynamic range of light and dark, cool and warm, and am hoping you feel this too!
This painting will brighten your day even on the cloudiest of days!
