Sunflowers And Apples by Lucinda Leveille is a mixed media piece and part of a new series of artworks that bring a new abstract element to her work in this genre.

The still life series of works was born from being introduced to a wonderful still life artist. She works in watercolours but also adds different media to her paintings.  Although I do like to mix things up and add a few different elements – this was quite an eye opener, so this body of work includes watercolour, watercolour pencil, liquid watercolour, ink sticks, oil pastels and for good measure a little stencilling ! What fun I have had with these pieces – chanelling my inner Picasso! The arrival of spring and signs of the world recovering from this difficult year has bought on a fresh approach with new ideas and different mediums that have been brewing in the studio. That said, a new and different series of paintings have been envisioned and created over the past months. These new works focus on still life and interiors with a definite bias to the wonderful flowers that brighten our lives and bring fantastic happy colours into our lives.

If you love this piece but it doesn’t quite suit your space, I would be delighted to work with you to produce an artwork that will work for you and your home, I enjoy commissions and it’s always great to know that this is something uniquely yours.
As with all of my works, this is an original and a one of a kind, I do not make prints from any of my works.
The paintings are signed on the front with my name ‘Lucinda’ and come with a Certificate of Authenticity. I only use Artist quality materials in the creation of my artwork – archival, quality paper for my watercolours, well prepared supports for my oil paintings and both are painted using artist pigments.
The artworks on gallery style stretched canvas, do not require framing and are ready to hang, however, a box frame on this style of canvas can dress the painting really well.
The piece will arrive cocooned in bubble wrap and packed within a sturdy cardboard container, sometimes recycled ( I like to recycle), any glass will be taped to help prevent breakage, it may not be the prettiest on the outside but the contents will arrive safe and sound.
