Shared Mail I – Interior scene. Traditional acrylic painting in acrylics of two seated ladies of a bygone era sharing news in the form of a letter. This original acrylic painting was inspired by two photographs (amongst many) that I took of various aspects of the interior of Warwick castle, England.  We were late to get back to our tour bus so didn’t have time to appreciate all the history and wonderful aspects held within the castle walls so took many photos.

The two wax women were not sitting together but I decided to make a bit of story about them sharing a letter while they partook of tea (and cake) as if they were sisters or close friends in a bygone era.

I decided to paint it traditionally, incorporating the detail of their long white dresses as they lounge in chairs with the tea trolley against the light of the window.

The large canvas is in landscape format and is ready to hang.

It is signed at the back and the sides are painted blue black.
