Additional Information

Series 4 no 4 by Danny Jacobson.

This work is part of a series (series 4) driven by my interest in geometry and colour. The paint has been applied using plasterers trowels, creating different textures and smooth, even surfaces.

It creates a powerful statement, and I find that with this style of abstract art, the simplicity is deceptive – there is more than meets the eye ! The use of contrasting colours and shapes creates an interesting artwork, that appears simple, but on closer inspection reveals greater nuance and complexity.

It has been painted using Artist Quality Acrylic paint, Matt Interior house paint and touches of permanent marker on a Professional Quality stretched cotton canvas with a matt protective varnish. It is signed and dated on the back.

The sides have been painted, so no frame is necessary, although it would also look great in a simple floating frame.

If the size of this work is not suitable, I am always happy to work on commissions to create the ideal piece for you.
