Secrets of the Unknown by Alan Morrison
Originally a self portrait that didn’t quite work out so I altered it to portray 1950s retro comic magazine art.
The original series of Secrets of the Unknown magazine series was used for inspiration.
I used to work in Illustration in the 1980s and used my knowledge to transform.
A figure in a dystopian landscape shuffling cards as in suggesting playing with peoples lives. He is the main protagonist with the population following his decisions. Figures following behind shown in shadows with some detail keeping with a retro 50s vibe.
