Additional Information

Pyro Petals by Andrea Moser – We are surrounded by the four classical elements of air, earth, fire, and water within our environment. They are represented by the wind in our skies, terra firma, warmth from sun rays, and a wide variety of watery resources such as rivers, lakes and the seas. ‘Pyro Petals’ is representing the fire element. Fire represents energy, a tool for transformation, connection to personal power, and inner strength.

Mixed media – encaustic medium, pigments and shellac on timber board

Why do I use encaustic medium?
The 2000-year-old encaustic medium is my chosen paint medium because I like to challenge the preconceived views of this ancient technique and use it in a contemporary way. I’m combining this ancient wax-based medium with contemporary techniques such as pen drawings, gilding and oil paints.

It is signed on the front and ready to hang with a cord across the back. It comes with a certificate of authenticity.
