This artwork is one of my most recent abstract action paintings, where I just let go and allow the artwork to emerge and tell me a story. There is no pressure nor expectation of what it becomes. I really just let go and enjoy the evolution through the act of applying colour and of painting. My abstract pieces are heavily based on my own thoughts and feelings, explored through colour and design.
As I painted Planting Seeds the story that emerged was one of rebirth, of starting again about cultivating and preparing ourselves for the life journey ahead. But also paying homage and reflecting on the journey that once was and how the two are intertwined and connected. How everything happens for a reason and when one door closes, another is opened. Starting a fresh with the knowledge and experience you have gained along the way.
