Owl Dreaming

Lino cut print of an Owl. It’s based on a stylised illustration that I created. I’ve had dreams of owls and even saw one in my backyard once. They’re one of the most amazing birds, with powerful talons, hearing and eyesight.

The owl has been represented in mythology in various cultures. Nocturnal birds of prey, owls universally symbolise the powers of night, mystery, and wisdom. In Ancient Greece the owl was a symbol of the goddess Athena with some Australian First Nations people the owl is considered to be the sacred spirits of women.
