“Over the Meadow” Original Artwork by Helen Joy Newman

Inspired by memories of the country town show. The once a year event when the flowers bloomed. All the children (including me) would be smiling with excitement. As kids we see everything brighter.

I created this artwork by using simple shapes and transforming them into different memories I have of the country show, this includes the flowers that were in the corner oval, the rides and bright sky. It is love and happiness wrapped up in one beautiful painting.

The Australian made natural oak timber frame is the perfect finishing touch for this artwork.
