My World by Kit McNeill is a large piece of Resin made from my imagination. Taking over eight weeks to complete the piece was developed with several layers of moulded texture pastes, crackling gels to form the corals. Also several of different fish were laid down giving the picture a 3D look. In some cases some of the little fish are hardly visible. There are several large jellyfish fish that took on a mind of their own when they were added. That’s why they look a bit quirky which I was originally going to name the painting. “Quirky Jellyfish” Until at the very last minute Mr Porpoise was added and of course what else could you call it “ My World “ The Sand is in fact from Kangaroo Island. The hint of the surface foam brings the viewer to the shallow part of the painting. The painting also has quite a few layers of Resin making it a heavy piece. In my view this painting would be lovely in a Reception/Waiting area as you can really immerse yourself in “My World”
