Additional Information

Moonbeam by Rosemary Legat – I created my base, using the same colour palette & selection of torn collage paper, at the same time as another which eventually developed into Teacher’s Pet.

Acrylic paint, acrylic ink, ink pen and collage on 300gsm mixed media paper.

Feeling it was time to let my creativity run wild and see if I could create something unique from my second base.  Its hard to let go and cover parts you already love but I started to layer further mediums and collage.  With the addition of further sketching, after my bird details were added.  I continued to layer details along with the use of negative space painting over some areas, to create a surreal world for my birds and fairy to live in.

I am rather pleased how my second base developed into this distinctive piece.  I think she would look especially delightful on a nursery or a child’s bedroom wall.

Moonbeam requires framing to hang.

Please check artwork dimensions as in situ artwork images, which include framed examples, are for display purposes only and may not be to scale.
