Additional Information

Metamorphosis – seemed the only appropriate title for this work of a water nymph, figuratively and literally. Originally started some time around 2016 – it didnt go as I’d imagined, so it sat on my wall of uncompleted works glaring and daring me to rekindle some interest in it, where it got the odd dab now and again. Fast forward to 2020 and finally finished.  Its had several re-works over time, like 3 different heads, from the original black flowing locks to blond to its current wild hair. Have left parts of the original intact including the lower left water colour while the rest has now become overgrown with underwater plants. The top back ground has undergone a several changes of colour too from the original stormy clouds. Extra petals, slightly textured have been left ‘underneath’ here and there as a nod to the original design and for me, makes it slightly more interesting.

It will be ready for varnishing in a month to allow drying time which will bring the vibrancy of colours out a little more. Ready for despatch mid May, signed with a certificate of authenticity – ready to hang.
