Additional Information

Mahon Pool 7/10 by Jennifer Baird – Mahon Pool is in the Eastern suburb of Maroubra, Sydney. What I love about this pool is it’s position next to the cliff, it looks out to the endless horizon. When I lived in Sydney, horizon views like this gave me peace and space from the city. I loved my bus ride home to South Bondi, down Birrell street, looking straight out to the ocean. This work comprises of 2 separate screen prints. The blue ombre rectangle and the white details of the pool on top. The rectangles in the edition are all different due to the nature of the paint being pulled through the screen. That’s what I love about screen printing – you just never know what is going to happen. This has a tiny bit of chalk pastel on it to enhance the horizon. Fun fact I printed this edition at Megalo Print Studios here in Canberra. While I have printed a lot on fabric, it is my first edition of screen prints on paper.
