Ripening of the smooth pink fruit of this small bush occurs between June and November and is eaten raw. Flowering occurs from October to May. They are white with five turned or cupped petals, similar to a citrus blossom. The leaves are thin, sharp, pointed and oval-shaped, dark green and 8-14cm.
