Lord Byron by Mary Conder – I don’t usually  do landscape specific scenes, however I have been hanging out at Byron Bay quite a lot lately as my husband is working there, so I thought why not give it a crack. The real Lord Byron was an nineteenth century British romantic and poet, a bit of a ladies man from all accounts and certainly loved an audience! In this piece, Lord Byron is played by the pelican – quite fitting I think – with an audience of seagulls all set against the backdrop of the Byron Bay lighthouse and outcrop. Its varnished, the sides are painted, ready to hang with wire across the back, is signed on the front and comes with a Certificate of Authenticity.
