Little Moments – Solitary Sentinel by Lucinda Leveille – Little Moments are a series of oil paintings that although small, pack a big punch! Solitary Sentinel is a recurring theme in my work, the single image, often a tree, in the vast landscape. This small work, represents how we seem constantly on alert this year.
The idea of the series has emerged from my exploration of the solitary element in the landscape – so these are a continuation of the theme, but with a slight twist. These pieces explore solitary moments in time – you might be surrounded by people but you feel like there is no one else there but you. During these difficult times with the threat of Covid 19, self isolation is a commonality and a solitary experience but it also a shared experience with your community.
These small works are a way to express that feeling within the landscape theme.
If you love this piece but it doesn’t quite suit your space, I would be delighted to work with you to produce an artwork that will work for you and your home, I enjoy commissions and it’s always great to know that this is something uniquely yours.
As with all of my works, this is an original and a one of a kind, I do not make prints from any of my works.
The paintings are signed on the front with my name ‘Lucinda’ and come with a Certificate of Authenticity. I only use Artist quality materials in the creation of my artwork – archival, quality, well prepared supports for my oil paintings and are painted using artist pigments.
These artworks on gallery style stretched canvas, come with a floating frame and are ready to hang, straight out of the box upon arrival.
The piece will arrive cocooned in bubble wrap and packed within a sturdy cardboard container, sometimes recycled ( I like to recycle when I can ), it may not be the prettiest on the outside but the contents will arrive safe and sound. Varnished.
