Ironbark hand painted 155cm didgeridoo by Suzanne Gaughan

Authentic Ironbark didgeridoo is made from a native Australian eucalyptus tree that has been naturally hollowed out by termites over time and then hand crafted by Indigenous artisans into a beautiful, playable unique instrument. Hand painted by local Indigenous artist Suzi Gaughan (Koruna) with a kangaroos and ceremonial  Gathering design. It is finished in gloss varnish to protect it from drying and cracking. Mouth piece is covered in traditional beeswax to enhance seal and playability.

The didgeridoo is 155 cms in length with a sound bell of 8 cm’s diameter

Key “C ”

Suzi was born in Tasmania – a descendant of Mannalargeenna, the chief of the Ben Lomond tribe of Tasmania. With both her parents also part of that community, Suzi was raised under her Aboriginal name Koruna (meaning white eagle)

In creating these designs Suzi has used the colours of the Gold Coast sunrise which she views from her home at Coolangatta.
