Additional Information

Original surreal retro Hollywood painting on high quality stretched canvas ready-to-hang with d-rings and picture wire.

My inspiration is Hollywood  movies of the 1940s and 50s.  Post-war society was paranoid about scientific inventions, especially the atomic bomb.  One of the fears was that with atomic testing, insects would mutate and become huge. Hothouse Intruder is my interpretation of the science fiction genre – Gene Tierney, a 1940s movie star has been pulled from the desert movie Sundown and thrust into a hothouse dome with a a mutant giant grasshopper.

My paintings are created using acrylic paints, gels and mediums and often have interesting textures and a glossy or metallic surfaces.  Ready-to-hang with d-rings and picture wire.

Invest in an up-and-coming artist. I have been finalist for all the major Queensland prizes for the past few years – Lethbridge 10,000, Rotary Art Spectacular, Moreton Bay Art Awards, Noosa Art Award, Stanthorpe Art Prize. I have also exhibited at various Brisbane and Gold Coast galleries.
