“High Tea Party” is part of a collection of home decoration artworks I created to bring everyday delight and enjoyment to the use of my paper sculpture art around the house. They have always generated a great deal of enthusiastic response from my clients and are amongst my best sellers. They are designed and sculptured in some quite intricate detail so viewers can admire the art on the wall for hours, and stimulate discussion when friends and family come to dinner or parties, admiring your decorations and art. A departure from my usual whites or natural paper colours in that they are intentionally very colourful to do little more than make the home a happy place with decorative artworks that are truly unique. Every tiny sculptured detail is hand painted in fine permanent inks, or occasionally acrylics. These home decoration collections are very archival and will give decades of pleasure provided they are not hung near bright, sun bathed locations that will fade even the most colour fast materials. Hang them somewhere close to, if not beneath a downlight, and the depth of the dimensional work and with all the sculptured details will really stand out. It’s one of the reasons they’re so popular. Beautifully framed but not overly large so they will adorn even smaller spaces like apartment living. Each one is a one-off original and will never be repeated. They would also make an ideal gift for someone wishing to leave an indelible impression on the receiver.
