Gum Blossom and the Lucky Kitten by Alicia Cornwell – Measures 45.7cm x 61cm x 3.5cm (18″ x 24″)

A fun piece to start off my time in the studio for 2021.

A big blousey bunch of Australian Eucalyptus blooms dripping with honey in a blue tinged Vintage bottle.

The table top cover a Vintage Sheridan sheet from the 1970’s splashed with daisies.

The little kitten is also a Vintage Piece found at an op shop last week. It’s what is known as “chalk ware” and was very popular around the 1950’s or so for those who couldn’t afford the more expensive bone china statue pieces. Mass produced but highly breakable, this little kitten came to me in perfect condition which made it even more special.

Holding its little paw high, it reminds me of the golden “lucky cats” and I’m sure this little one must be exuding luckiness not having sustained a single chip in its long life.

And so to the painting, this little kitten wishes you luck and beauty full of bounty to you and yours…

Gallery wrapped and ready for your wall with a new wire hanger to the back.

Comes unframed but can be arranged for you at additional cost.
