I took part in a great Matisse inspired workshop streamed from London the other day, I thoroughly enjoyed myself cutting out figures from photographs, finding the simple lines from shapes in nature as well as from the depths of my imagination.. This is the result of that workshop, below are the words that I found when I had finished.

I feel the warmth of the sun on my skin once again, it filters into every pore and fills me with the hope of a new day, a surge of life envelops my soul as I look up and watch the birds circling and swaying, a feast of colour in purples, reds and yellows..
A memory, pure in its colours and life and dreams of a new beginning, take me back I cry, take me back to the warmth and that liberating moment I discovered that each moment holds a kaleidoscope of treasures to be breathed in and held for dark moments such as these.
