Synopsis
This body of work progresses through the exploration of my phobia of snakes. Living on the Sunshine Coast, I am in the heartland of the snake. This work is in the acceptance stage of the snake phobia. Starting to accept that there are snakes, but they aren’t interested in me. I’m not interested in them. The small hand written text on the canvas says ‘They are hungry and looking for food. I am not snake food.’ There is still an uneasy feeling and an anxiety around sharing space with snakes, but a little less concern around my own safety.
