Additional Information

Derek – Ltd Ed print – This piece was created primarily using a technique called stippling. This involves putting thousands upon thousands of tiny dots together to create an image. Painted liquid ink was used in sections to create the possible darkest black tones. Jasmine loves the effect that stippling creates – from a distance the image is clear and smooth, but up close it is incredibly complex and detailed, just like people are in the flesh.

This portrait took over 140 hours to create. Stippling is an incredibly and painstakingly arduous technique, and, although one of Jasmine’s favourite techniques, it is one that she can only use on a few artworks each year as it is very physically hard on the finger and knuckle joints.

Limited edition prints are printed on canvas in three sizes, each limited to a maximum of 100 prints to ensure exclusivity and value is retained. Once the print run of 100 has been reached no further prints will be completed. Prints come with an authenticity certificate and the price includes shipping within Australia. For prices outside Australia a quote can be arranged. Prints come unstreched and rolled.
