This piece is one of my ‘Swimmer Series’ of paintings. It is an investigation into the interaction and connection between light, water and form. Amanda’s work is focused on the quest for finding refuge, quietness and escapism. Some [paintings] focus on the lone swimmer.The few minutes of introspection when submerged in the warm quiet of water. Others investigate the interaction of people within various aspects of the landscape.
