My mark making is a way to show the energy surrounding us all and I have found myself intuitively drawing with a sense of joy and freedom that has definitely become much more present in my work since arriving back from our trip around Oz. Forever intertwined with all there is, what I see and what I feel as I realise that my connection to nature has strengthened and with it my need to show all that is felt as well as seen informing my Art more than ever.
Delicious Oranges was inspired by a previous series that focused on texture and the use of a pallet knife to evoke that sense of movement and lusciousness of fruit in its own environment, growing, with nature surrounding it, supporting it to become good enough to eat! I came back to this and added my new found love of lines which has given a contrast that indeed focuses on those delicious oranges!
