The clear notes of the king parrot resound through the mountain chasm at dawn with background melody of trickling stream and softly rustling leaves. The first rays of sunlight quiver in the morning dew and illuminate leaf and stone. The language of abstraction invites multiple readings, whilst the motifs intersect at liminal scales and junctures. This is a painting about music and light. Can be arranged in any combination, singularly, or as a diptych as shown. Painted Oct 2017 with ‘Atelier’ flow and ‘Matisse’ heavy body acrylics and accented with genuine gold leaf. Three coats of UVLS varnish. Ready to hang.
