‘Coalcliff Beach’ is a seascape/landscape artwork based on a photo taken in late 2021 at the beautiful Coalcliff Beach in the Northern suburbs of the Illawarra, NSW.

I have used both painting and collage to create this unique artwork. The collaged elements include pieces taken from my own screen printed test prints as well as clippings from recycled magazines. Some pieces were taken from a 1950’s magazine called ‘English Woman’ which add great nostalgic vintage elements to the piece.

The piece is on a wooden primed Painting Board which is made from a smooth blonde coloured plywood panel with pine bracing ensuring a strong and warp resistant painting support.

2 coats of gloss varnish have also been applied to protect the artwork. The gloss gives a glassy sheen to the artwork that really brings out the details in this piece. The artwork has a wire at the back, the edges are painted/collaged so it is ready for your wall.
