Circle No 5 Crop-Wood-Geo No 3 by Con Preston – Limited Edition (100) digitally created artwork –  100 x 140 cm print on canvas with mirror image gallery border for stretcher.

The components of this design originated in my drawings of circles within circles, experiments on how dissections of them would interact with each other and applying those fragments in other combinations. Whew! There are 37 of these things brooding in their folder. I blame an interest in Art Deco and having too much free time! Simple gradient background textured with a displacement map of a cliff in Tiger Leaping Gorge, Yunnan Province. The dammed water again! [I must practice restraint.] Photos of space courtesy of the Hubble Telescope & NASA and my mud and rocks accompany styles and textures and, yet more, gradients in the myriad shapes created by the lines of the design.

Software used: Adobe Illustrator for all construction and Photoshop for texturing, styling and compositing.

Unique digital print on canvas with mirror image gallery border for stretcher. Stretcher not included. Packed and posted in mailing tube.
