This canvas wall art piece titled ‘PlaTa’ is originally designed and printed from a photograph for an intense explosion of colour and creativity. This contemporary digital art work was taken during an afternoon storm with heavy rain. The image was printed, reviewed and adjusted by hand for the best visual display of colour and composition.

I have always had a passion for photography and nature. The photo was taken around 4:30pm. As I watched this storm unfolding and the rain began to fall, I could see the composition and potential for a beautiful work of art. The rain lasted for about an hour and as it settled down the drops of water feleft on the garden made for some lovely pictures. I downloaded the photos to the computer and began my creative journey with the various graphics programs. The reason I decided to call this particular print ‘Plata’ is because of the sound the rain makes when it hits our tin roof. I find that sound is so ‘Australian’ and gives that home feeling. Nature at its best.
