  • Bokeh 3 Blur Acrylic Urban Twlight Felicia Lowe B
  • Bokeh 3 Blur Acrylic Urban Twlight Felicia Lowe A

Additional Information

I have been fascinated by the blurring of light for decades.  Reference to light orbs or refraction of light is evident in the majority of my artworks whether highly realistic or more abstracted like my current Bokeh & Journey series.

Bokeh is Japanese for blur or to blur.  I think best pronounced  “Bokay”

Original artwork details

  • “Bokeh No.2”
  • 91 x 61 x 4cm linen
  • created using acrylic paint with a hint of micaceous pigment
  • gallery wrapped artwork (no frame  & painted around edges)
  • ready to hang with fittings at rear and  sealed with satin varnish
  • signed on front and rear of artwork

In Bokeh No.3 you will note references to my earlier Journey Series,  with the subtle colours
of twilight sky acting as calming backdrop to the diffused lights of the evening traffic.  Once again
it has an ever so slight glaze of micaceous pigment to suggest the tinkling of lights.
