There is nothing better than a day at the beach. Perfect!!! I live and paint in beautiful Shoal Bay NSW, on the coast. Summer weekends and holidays bring many visitors to enjoy the surrounding area. They guests bring with them many colourful towels, umbrellas, boards, cossies; this creates a wonderful display of colour everywhere, against the backdrop of the teal coloured water. This artwork is about the relaxed feel by the sea as well as observing all the activities that goes on.

Many of the reference photographs I have taken and the quick sketches /outlines on to canvas have been used to create this composition of people happily sitting together on the beach taking in the summer’s day.

The aim is to create and celebrate an image; using lots of energy and luscious colours, so you can visually share my passion and optimism. Perfect to transform and uplift a room in your home or office.

About the paintings quality:

The canvas is professional artist grade with the following:

  • Wright & Co Canvas 12oz poly cotton
  • 3 coats of Titanium White Acrylic Primed Gesso
  • Stretcher Bars 35mm deep
  • 18x55mm corner and centre bracing
  • Gallery stretched for painting on the canvas edge
  • Double stapled on the back of the stretcher

The paint I use is also professional artist quality and the artwork is protected with Art Spectrum Gloss Varnish. On back of painting the D-hooks and hanging cord are fixed, so artwork is ready to hang straight on your wall.
