• Interior For Handbag 2
  • Bad Focus Copy

Additional Information

Jasmine took a photograph of this Chanel bag and was planning on creating an artwork that was clear and crisp as is the style of most of her pieces, but she was taken by the way the photo turned out blurred. Having no understanding of photography, she didn’t bother trying to adjust the depth of field. The photograph had a kind of poetic look to it. Half in focus and half out. An object that is so revered and carries such a high price tag is rarely depicted in this way and there was something about having such an exclusive object in poor focus. That is way she named it ‘Bad Focus’. Make the meaning of that whatever you will…

This piece is created using pigment ink pen on paper. With some extra details to achieve the texture of the leather that is so synonymous with the Chanel bag design. Up close, you can see the individual pen lines, but from a distance these lines fade and blur into a smooth finish – much like the faded back of the bag.

Limited edition prints available for maximum of 100 prints per size available. No further prints will be completed after the maximum number to ensure that exclusivity and value is retained. All print prices include postage within Australia and come rolled unstretched. If postage outside Australia is required or stretching desired a quote can be arranged.
