Additional Information

Travel tends to rub itself on you and leave bits that become incorporated in who you are subsequent to the particular experience. Central Asia applied a friction that marked with indelibility! Even though that experience was seven years ago we are still affected by it: reading, reading, reading. If you are interested try these: The Silk Roads: A New History Of The World. Peter Frankopan and Lost Enlightenment: Central Asia’s Golden Age from the Arab Conquest to Tamerlane. S. Frederick Starr. Never miss a chance to further education! The works I am putting up here that resulted from that experience are humble scratchings compared to the real McCoy. How could they be anything more? This one refers to Turkmenistan. Hence the breast plate jewellery. This image is from a photograph but I have made others in Cinema 4D then printed them to incorporate with woven and embroidered fabric. The background combines my paintings of autumn clouds from home [real desert dust bunnies don’t provide enough of a foil for me!] Other elements are derived from Dover Publication sources of Arabic and Islamic art I purchase for design purposes. Software used: Adobe Illustrator and Photoshop. Digital Print on canvas with mirror image gallery border for stretcher.

Packed and posted in mailing tube. No stretcher or frame included.
