This is a large colourful abstract painting on canvas ready to hang on your beautiful wall.

I have reduced the price of this painting due to the effect of Corona Virus on the world economy and my income.  I am hoping it helps some buyers to beautify their homes in this current situation and be able to support a sole trader – artist (that’s me), at the same time.

The big. The tiny. The sea. The molecules. The microscopic. These things I think about and look at when I create these paintings. They can be viewed as miniscule cell life just as easily as floating jelly-fish swarms or an underwater garden with bioluminescent organisms and sea anemones blooms.

I loved using this colour palette. The subtle aqua, earthy yellow ochre and the sharp contrast of the fluffy whites and creamy yellows working together to create the wonderful waters of life.

”Diving into the reef. This painting belongs to my ‘Aquatic’ Series. It is representative of my exploration into the microscopic minutiae of life with all its order & chaos. I delve into the beautiful parallels of art with science that I have bound with my love of effervescent of sea-life like bioluminescence, floaty algae, coral and jellyfish. Many of the building blocks of life that is so very real but cannot be seen with our normal everyday eyesight’.

‘This series looks at the tiny minutiae of life with all its order & chaos and what is real but cannot be seen with normal sight. I use microscopes and magnifying devices in my exploration of micro-worlds. The ovoid organic motifs and the organic cluster patterns allude to biological life forms, cell growth, and to the visceral otherworldliness of the building blocks of life, and in their arrangement, to the pulsating rhythmic patterns of universal forms that so often stop us in our tracks in awe of their magnificence. The paintings themselves grow organically from one starting point, each cell popping out from the one before.

I wanted the painting to be sublime, peaceful, and beautiful yet also have a feeling of fragility and vulnerability’.

”I feel like I am gently floating like jelly-fish” is a lovely comment I so often receive from this series.

What I enjoy most about my paintings is they make people smile with a sense of wonderment and feelings of happiness as well as making their walls sing.

ALL PAINTINGS ARE VARNISHED with Professional Quality Artists Varnish, once they have been photographed. This gives a protective surface and an exquisite sheen that really makes the colours powerful & eye-catching.

The painting is on canvas wrapped around traditional wooden stretcher bars with edges that are a smart 3.5cm deep. The edges are cleaned, staple free and painted a rich black to compliment the painting.
