“Aquamarine” is a vivid interpretation of sun & sea. I spent a couple of days over summer on the Mornington Peninsula in Victoria. Each morning I would catch glossy visions of the sea and sky melting together. Most afternoons I walked along the pier at Portsea with my daughter and together we witnessed brilliant sunsets. This painting is a recollection of one spectacular colour fusion played out in front of us between sun & sea. A contemporary, abstracted image of a coastal seascape, the brushstrokes mimic movement and create tension of the surface.The work is acrylic paint on stretched canvas, measuring 91 cm W x 91 cm L.
