Aground by Lucinda Leveille – These types of solitary scenes draw me…… A single tree in some of my works, here a yacht , aground as the tide recedes and she is left to her own devices, many of us feel that way at some time in our lives. Hoping in this case that the owners who love this boat will come and rescue her.The theme running through my work at the moment, is an exploration of the solitary. Whether it be a tree or a boat or a single image in the landscape. The emotions that these images evoke can be mirrored in many of our lives. We all live solitary existences, whether we are surrounded by friends or family.

As with all of my works, this is an original and a one of a kind, I do not make prints from any of my works.
The paintings are signed on the front with my name ‘Lucinda’ and come with a Certificate of Authenticity. I only use Artist quality materials in the creation of my artwork – archival, quality paper for my watercolours, well prepared supports for my oil paintings and both are painted using artist quality pigments.
The piece will arrive cocooned in bubble wrap and packed within a sturdy cardboard container, sometimes recycled ( I do like to recycle when I can!), any glass will be taped to help prevent breakage, it may not be the prettiest on the outside but the contents will arrive safe and sound.
