Additional Information

Afternoon Delights by Lucinda Leveille is a watercolour painting with one of her favourite plants – the teasels.

This work has been painted with a great deal of texture, both in the pigments and on the paper.  It is a new product I recently received from England and I just had to experiment with it, obviously using a plant that is quite prolific in England. A piece of useless information – teasels were used by farriers to comb their horses – very prickly little beasts they are !  Love using complementary colours – purples and yellows anothe vibrant and exciting combination.

If you love this piece but it doesn’t quite suit your space, I would be delighted to work with you to produce an artwork that will work for you and your home, I enjoy commissions and it’s always great to know that this is something uniquely yours.
As with all of my works, this is an original and a one of a kind, I do not make prints from any of my works.

Each artwork is signed on the front with my name ‘Lucinda’ and come with a Certificate of Authenticity.

I only use Artist quality materials in the creation of my artwork – archival, quality paper for my watercolours, well prepared supports for my oil paintings and both are painted using artist pigments.

The piece will arrive cocooned in bubble wrap and packed within a sturdy cardboard container, sometimes recycled ( I like to recycle when I can! ), it may not be the prettiest on the outside but the contents will arrive safe and sound.
