After the Storm by Marguerite Bonwick – This modern abstract piece is full of the fresh clean electricity that is present after a massive thunderstorm.
It was a Finalist in the 2019 Camden Art Prize.
This artwork is one of my abstract action paintings, where I just let go and allow the artwork to emerge and tell me a story. There is no pressure nor expectation of what it becomes. I really just let go and enjoy the evolution through the act of applying colour and of painting. My abstract pieces are heavily based on my own thoughts and feelings, explored through colour and design. Blue and Green should never be seen.. well I LoVe It!!
The Storm element although can be tumultuous is cleansing and rejuvenating. Storms often signify in nature and in life the end of the old and new beginnings. A painting of renewal and rebirth of starting again on my life journey looking forward on the path ahead. Starting a fresh with the knowledge and experience you have gained along the way.
