Additional Information

School days are fraught with danger.  Always some 8 year old Jezebel angling to steal the affections of the Class cricket captain so he would make her opening bat.  Even tempting him with an old cricket ball he could use instead of the regulation tennis ball. The story is more complicated than this and I have put it in the exhibition magazine which is included with each of this exhibitions paintings. This is a memory jogged by an old photo of three kids on a bench and how my world was shattered when I went from opening the batting to carrying on the drinks. That crushing moment though, has been transported into an Australian fine art oil painting to live a happy life just as I have. Yes that is me in the yellow dress.

A memory, from school days, is softened by time of the flame haired Jezebel with her attempt to win over Roland, our cricket captain. I created the painting  from a small b & w photo which had prompted my recall of this fateful day!
