George Hall is a painter, printmaker, illustrator and long-time resident of Kings Cross in the (still bustling) heart of Sydney. Since 2015 he’s been a full-time career artist, building a substantial following with his signature large acrylic paintings.
George’s current work embodies the zest for colour and texture that inspired his previous 30-year career as a successful textile designer and fashion designer.
Kate Owen is an abstract artist living in Northern NSW.
“Painting gives me freedom from daily routines and expectations, allowing me to express myself through colour and liberate the jumble of constant ideas clamouring for attention in my mind. Abstraction is a form of rebelling against my perfectionist nature.”
Paul Franklin is Franko, a multidisciplinary artist specialising in Abstract Paintings, Urban Pop Art and Industrial Style Art.
“I always look for BALANCE in the design of my art, with analytical structure (really I mean chaos!!) and I normally paint with lots of texture. I also LOVE color. Depending on my moods and inspirations, the outcome could be of a realistic nature, or totally abstract.”
Melbourne artist Theo Papathomas is formally trained and considers himself an experimental artist using different mediums and various styles always challenging his practice.
Theo’s inspiration comes from being part of the Australian landscape, witnessing and experiencing the energy of its dramatic seasonal change. The richness and unpredictable command of intuitive painting capture his memories of the landscape’s mesmerizing rhythms.
